Lymphatic drainage
Manual limphatic drainage is a technique with the hands that is carried out with the hands through very soft, slow and repetitive movements that favour the circulation of the lymph, improving this way oedematous conditions, inflammations and organic liquid retention. The lymphatic sistem works closely with the immune system, which is why manual lymphatic drainage improves the general state of health and plays a very beneficial role in the nervous system, as as well as treating specifically different diseases. Manual lymphatic drainage is therefore another way of strengthening the immune system.
How does lymphatic drainage work?
To perform lymphatic drainage, the therapist makes very gentle and superficial movements with the fingertips and hands and this technique becomes relaxing for the user.
The main aim of lymphatic drainage is to stimulate the lymphatic system to increase the elimination of fluids that sometimes accumulate between the cells.
